Thermosetting plastics are plastics do not soften on heating. They are used when resistance to heat is important (eg kettles, plugs, laptop chargers etc). WebThis means that once thermosetting plastics are molded or shaped into their final form, they cannot be melted or reshaped like thermoplastics can. There are several examples of thermosetting plastics that are commonly used in a variety of applications. One example is Bakelite, which was one of the first thermosetting plastics to be developed.
