I considered various posibilities to replace the struts, OEM was one of them among other brands including the much hated Monroe. I prefer a smooth ride as opossed to a sporty one. I know that Koni offers their FSD shocks and struts that supposedly offer a good blend of comfort with control, but they don't appear to be available for xi models. So if comfort is paramount, the Sachs should likely be your pick over Bilstein B6.
