Webb25 jan. 2015 · When I had to fabricate the entire linkage, add the pedal and create the body lift drop linkage to get the SM465 to work in a purely automatic frame I was just happy it all worked and never thought to ask about a rebuild kit at Napa. The bellcrank I got from the salvage yard was in poor shape and is the same today I guess. Webb27 sep. 2024 · #1 Does anybody make a overdrive for a sm465? Wanted to pick up a ranger from advanced adapters but it's been discontinued. Going in a stock wheelbase k5 so want to keep length to a minimum. Planning on doing a basic 350/sm465/Dana 60/14bff with 5:38 gears and 40" bias swampers. May get a rear 70 so I can gear lower.

The tranny works pretty well except there is a bit of bearing noise at times and it recently developed an oil leak.
